  To teach and educate O. Math to the secondary level students as per the syllabus prescribed by Curriculum Development Center, Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal and guidelines provided by National Curriculum Framework.

  To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in secondary level classes that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill individual student’s academic potential.

  To motivate and encourage students in the classroom to achieve higher level of performance.

  To plan and prepare daily, weekly and monthly detailed lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate an active learning of students and deliver lessons accordingly. A copy of the same needs to be submitted to the Vice Principal).

  To develop learning exercises, assignments and homework and assigning the same to students to reinforce their learning.

  To instruct and monitor students by using an appropriate teaching learning materials and aids.

  To use digital technology to support and differentiate instruction.

  To manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.

  To observe, evaluate and maintain the complete record of academic performance (progress and development, attainment), learning ability, class participation and conduct of each student in the class and report the same to the Classroom Teacher or Head of School in every week. Maintain a separate file for students in each class.

  To develop learning exercises, assignments and homework and assigning the same to students to reinforce their learning.

  To examine and grade the assignment/exercise/homework done by each student regularly and maintain the record of the same. Provide an appropriate feedback to students on their work.

  To identify the fast, average, slow learner, problem children and under-achievers and accordingly coach them according to their needs and abilities and communicate to the Classroom Teacher and Academic Coordinator.

  To liaise and collaborate effectively with Classroom Teacher, parents and NVESS management.

  To make use of audiovisual technological devices/aides (such as radio aids; projectors) and other adaptations during the delivery of the lessons wherever possible.

Master’s degree in Mathematics .

Must have at least 3 years work experience in any reputed English medium school at secondary level.

Must be able to work as a student counselor.

Demonstrated level of professionalism and commitment to student learning.

A relevant teaching certificate or license is preferred.

Ability to remain calm and work under pressure and result oriented.

Ability to understand child psychology and counsel the students.

Ability to establish mathematics laboratory and conduct mathematics related laboratory works using locally available resources.

Ability to prepare teaching materials from locally available resources.

Ability to link the mathematics with STEM education.

Ability to use digital technology in the classroom.

Have a practical experience with MS Office package and online teaching.

Ability to communicate fluently in English language.

Ability to build team, lead a team and work in a team (team work skill).

Strong interest to work and play with students.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
